The architectural concept—much like the urban design strategy—stems from the intention to clearly define the new volume in relation to its surroundings while preserving the characteristic geometry of the panel-built apartment blocks. The new rooftop extension is designed with a rectilinear geometry that references the original aesthetic of the building, yet employs a distinct material and color palette. In the future, the entire building is expected to undergo external insulation, which will visually unify it into a single cohesive whole. For this reason, the façade of the extension is designed with an allowance for this future overcladding. In terms of layout, the extension is divided into two apartments intended for families of three to four members.
